FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 8, 2025
Toronto, ON – pointA is proud to announce that applications for the 2026 Best Workplace for Commuters (BWC™) designation for Canada are now open. This North American designation celebrates employers, post-secondary institutions, commercial sites and now, for the first time, residential complexes, that demonstrate excellence in sustainable and commuter-friendly transportation options.
BWCTM honors organizations that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to transportation benefits they provide, such as vanpools, transit passes, and on-site amenities – supporting smarter ways to travel. In concert with its dedicated partner organizations such as pointA, BWCTM provides recognition to these organizations that go above and beyond in promoting transportation options.
Organizations are invited to apply for this designation and work with pointA between now and the end of November to qualify.
“We are thrilled to see residential sites included in the 2026 BWC™ list.” said Amélie Chanda, Program Manager at pointA. “As more Canadians seek sustainable living environments, this expansion recognizes the important role that property developers and managers can play in shaping greener, more connected communities.”
pointA is the sole Canadian partner of the BWC™ program, supporting organizations from application to recognition with expert consulting, strategy development, and communication support.
