Michael MacLennan
Chair
Advisory and Consulting Services, Sustainable Development and Urban Mobility
Michael brings over 10 years of policy-oriented research and advisory experience with UN agencies, as well as with national and municipal governments from around the world. Michael works at the nexus of evidence-based research, policy and technology to help organizations explore, test and refine ideas and strategies to help drive positive impact. Michael previously conducted and led research at the UNDP International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth, served as Editor-in-Chief of the Policy in Focus magazine and is a former Studio Y fellow at the MaRS Discovery District.
Michael holds a BA (Honours) in Political Studies from Queen’s University, an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and has also studied Sustainable Development at Sciences Po Paris. Michael has lived in Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, the UK and Zambia, and, in each place has been enthusiastic about re-thinking why and how people, as well as goods, are moved through urban spaces, with an eye to reducing carbon emissions, while increasing access and wellbeing.

Sandra Scott
Vice Chair

With over 20 years of HR leadership experience, I am a strategic partner and trusted advisor to global executive teams. I am known for building and sustaining high-performing organizations across entrepreneurial, consulting, energy, and insurance sectors. I bring a collaborative, agile approach to national and global transformation initiatives, specializing in employee retention and engagement programs that exceed industry standards.
My leadership is built on transparency, trust, and a deep understanding of business drivers. I have a strong track record of challenging and coaching leaders to build diverse, high-performing talent pipelines. Additionally, I am passionate about community engagement by volunteering at Women for Parkinson’s and FareShare Food Bank, and fostering inclusive partnerships that support diverse groups.

David Abitoye
Treasurer
Director Accounting, FirstOntario Credit Union
David is a seasoned Finance leader with over 17 years experience providing assurance, advisory, financial planning, strategy development and business transformation services. He spent over 12 years at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he managed multiple private and public sector client engagements across Africa and the United Kingdom.
He also held several senior Finance and Accounting leadership positions in financial services sector companies, including a position with the Enterprise “Accounting Policy group” at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where he provided strategic accounting advisory to the banking group’s business segments on corporate transactions and strategic initiatives.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Distinction) and has a dual MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University and the Smith School of Business at Queens University. He is also a Chartered professional accountant (CPA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). David is currently the Director of Accounting at First Ontario Credit Union.

Ben Davies
Director
CIO/CISO, Vector Institute
Ben is the current CIO/CISO at the Vector Institute and is responsible for overseeing Vector’s scientific and business computing environments. He leads Vector’s participation in building a national AI research compute environment as part of the national Pan-Canadian AI Strategy and sits on the OECD.AI Expert Group on Compute and Climate.
Ben has a broad background in technology management with prior experience including a CIO role at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and over twenty-five years of experience in strategic planning, IT operations management, cybersecurity, and technology consulting with organizations in North America, Europe and Asia. He has held progressive IT management positions in multiple sectors including pharmaceutical, software manufacturing, transportation, travel, and consulting.
He was co-founder and president of a managed services company, has been involved in several start-ups, and has been a member of several non-profit boards.

Alia Lee
Director
Chief Financial Officer, Assurance Operate Finance, Deloitte LLP
Alia Lee is an entrepreneurial finance and technology executive focused on strategic excellence and corporate governance. With expertise in accounting, finance, business law, and strategy management, she brings a comprehensive skill set to her roles.
Her experience spans diverse industries such as transportation, telecom, AI, and biotech, working with non-profits, enterprises, and government agencies. This breadth of experience informs her approach to building sustainable businesses and driving long-term growth.
In addition to her professional work, Alia is passionate about building a better future by supporting community organizations.

Edmund Leong
Director
Senior Partner, Tator, Rose & Leong
Edmund is a Chartered Professional Accountant acting as a senior partner in a mid sized Toronto CPA firm of 5 partners. As a 1994 CPA and a 1991 UofT – BComm graduate, Edmund has developed the depth of skill and experience in the both assurance and taxation elements at his firm. With a particular niche in the audit of Private Career College sector, Edmund had used his experience to serve as an advisor to the Board of Career Colleges Ontario (CCO) and has lectured at multiple CCO conferences and workshops. The other major sector that his firm is engaged in is the Condominium audit sector. Edmund leads the firm in the Condominium governance by providing relevant written articles to the sector as well as serving on the Condominium Auditors Roundtable to steer audit and accounting standards. One of the particular articles contributed focused in on EVSE infrastructure in the condominium corporation’s common elements.
Edmund believes in sustainable transportation by actively living a sustainable lifestyle including biking, owning an EV and investing in EV corporations. With a combined interest in biking and sustainable transportation, he also serves as a board member of Bikes without Borders that use bikes and bike-related solutions to empower individuals in marginalized communities though mobility.

Julien Marchal
Director
Chief Operating Officer at Robotiq
Julien Marchal is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience scaling organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia. He recently joined collaborative robotics and physical AI leader Robotiq as Chief Operating Officer and is based in Québec.
Julien has held CEO, COO, and SVP roles across technology, manufacturing and consumer sectors, as well as with the Canadian Red Cross, where he supported a $75M international program portfolio and helped raise over $30M in institutional funding.
He brings a practical perspective on how mobility and behavior change shape communities, with experience in operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and environmental standards, including ISO 14001.
He is particularly drawn to pointA’s work connecting people, employers, and communities through sustainable transportation.

Shweta Singh
Director
Assistant Controller at Global Performance Commerce Ltd Inc.
Shweta is a Chartered Professional Accountant who has strong background in accounting, finance and project management with experience across Manufacturing, Metal and Mining, Retail and Wholesale, Renewable energy, Real estate Property Management, Media Marketing and E-commerce industries. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with major in Applied Statistics. She is an Assistant Controller at Global Performance Commerce Ltd Inc and has successfully completed data migration in NetSuite along with ensuring data quality, accuracy and compliance in addition to overseeing month-end processes. With previous roles at Deloitte and KPMG, she has a solid understanding of processes, internal controls and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. She is passionate about leveraging data and technology to optimize financial performance, streamline processes, and enhance decision-making.

Michael Hsu

Michael is a senior business growth, customer journey, and technology leader with over 20 years of experience helping organizations deliver meaningful customer outcomes across the SaaS and HRTech sectors. He combines technical aptitude with a strategic focus on driving business results. As a service builder, operational problem-solver, and technology strategist, Michael is passionate about creating value-added customer journeys with a CX-focused, data-centric, revenue-aligned approach.
Over the years, Michael has held senior leadership positions at IBM, Dayforce, and VidCruiter. He has also served in a senior leadership role at Achev, a GTA-based nonprofit organization supporting more than 100,000 clients, where he led Customer 360, analytics, digital transformation, and AI governance to help create a more integrated client experience. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys mentoring young professionals, exploring new adventures, and improving his pickleball game.

Jean Kean
Advisor
With over 20 years of senior leadership experience for multiple international NGOs, I am a strategic advisor on climate action and emissions reporting to global stakeholders. I currently lead a $450 million humanitarian and development portfolio across 12 countries in West and Central Africa for CARE International including managing the carbon footprint of my organization and shaping regional climate programming strategy. I bring hands-on expertise in applying the GHG Protocol and contribute to global climate risk financing as a Global Shield-accredited expert, having supported national strategies for climate risk protection and disaster finance for the governments of Senegal, Ghana, and Madagascar.
My leadership is built on transparency, results, and a deep understanding of operational drivers. I am known for building credible, actionable sustainability frameworks and coaching leaders to integrate climate strategies into organizational growth. Bilingual in English and French, I am committed to advancing climate action through clear metrics, governance, and strategic value.
