Steeles Technology Campus, a large technology office park, has long been a leader in creating a commuter-friendly environment for its tenants. As a dynamic multi-tenant office complex in northern Toronto, strategically located at the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and Highway 404, Steeles Technology Campus offers a wide range of amenities that support a welcoming, accessible, and sustainable workplace experience. In 2024, they were among the first organizations in Canada to earn the BWC designation. -

Parkway Place Awarded BWC – Best Site (2026)
Located in the heart of North York and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), Parkway Place remains a leader in sustainable transit and tenant engagement. After becoming an inaugural Canadian recipient of the BWC – Best Site designation in 2024, the property has reaffirmed its status by once again surpassing the national standards of excellence required for this honour. -

111 Gordon Baker Road Earns Best Site for Commuters (2026)
111 Gordon Baker Road is a prominent office building that has become a model for commuter-focused amenities in a high-traffic suburban employment district. The site faces a common challenge: while it offers excellent regional highway access, it is slightly removed from major transit stations, creating a first-mile, last-mile (FMLM) gap for employees travelling by public transit. Recognizing the importance of equitable access, the building management invested in commuter solutions that bridge this gap, and for the 3rd year in a row, these efforts have earned them the BWC- Best site (2026) designation. -

York University Named Best University for Commuters (2026)
York University has once again been recognized as a Best University for Commuters (BWC) for 2026, an honour they received in 2024 when they became the first university in Canada to achieve this prestigious designation. Despite the shifting landscape and emerging challenges facing Canadian post-secondary institutions, York University continues to prioritize sustainable commuting for its students, faculty, and staff. -

Town of Halton Hills Recognized as a 2026 Best Workplace for Commuters
The Town of Halton Hills has earned North American recognition as a 2026 Best Workplace for Commuters (BWC), demonstrating exceptional leadership in sustainable transportation, employee well-being, and environmental stewardship. Located in the Regional Municipality of Halton, the Town of Halton Hills is being celebrated for its commitment to supporting employee commuting and environmental responsibility. By rejoining the Smart Commute program and investing in commuter-focused initiatives, the Town has shown what is possible when strategic planning and employee engagement come together. -
