We’re pleased to welcome Dorinda So as our new executive director.
Dorinda previously served as research director with the Institute for Competitiveness and Prosperity. She brings with her an impressive background in public policy, including work in transit and transportation policy that is central to our mission of championing sustainable transportation options. While at the Institute, Dorinda collaborated with all three levels of government, non-profit partners, and businesses on a range of policy initiatives and served as Conference Director for TCI 2018, a global conference on clusters and competitiveness. Dorinda holds a BBA (Management and Political Science) from the University of Toronto, a MA in Socio-Legal Studies from York University, and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). She serves in a variety of governance positions with the University of Toronto and is a recipient of the Arbor Award for exceptional volunteerism from University of Toronto.
Dorinda will lead our team in delivering the Smart Commute program across north Toronto and Vaughan and developing client-focused transportation options including pointA’s successful “last-mile” shuttle services, and suite of transportation demand management solutions.
In welcoming Dorinda to the position of executive director, we bid a fond farewell to Lauren Bates who has been with us since 2013, and served as our executive director since 2015. Lauren has decided to shift her career and we wish her well in her next role.
